As we step into this season, many of us are navigating change and uncertainty—whether it’s adjusting to daylight savings, dealing with the weight of seasonal depression, or processing the emotional aftermath of a tense election cycle.
According to recent studies, nearly 69% of Americans say that “the election has been a significant source of stress in their lives.” If that resonates with you, please remember to take a moment to rest, check in on each other, and—most importantly—step away from social media when you can.
But here’s one thing we know for sure: Community is healing.
Tomorrow and beyond, let’s refocus our energy and take action together. Now is not the time to lose hope. Instead, let’s channel our efforts toward what we can control: supporting local elections, volunteering, and organizing within our own neighborhoods. Our collective service can help us have an impact on the change we want to see.
Over the next few weeks, members across the country will be leading self-organized service days with organizations like the Ed Reed Foundation, Dream it Forward Foundation & Minnie’s Food Pantry. These events will offer us all opportunities to make a real, lasting impact—together.
And we’ve made it easier than ever to get involved. With our new platform, Hivebrite, you can stay connected, collaborate with others and get involved in ForbesBLK initiatives, all while staying informed about the latest news and opportunities.
