The Golden Bachelorette finale is here as Joan makes her choice between Chock, a 60-year-old insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas, and Guy, a 66-year-old ER doctor from Reno, Nevada.

Since week two, it’s been pretty obvious that Chock is the front-runner, and my money is still on him receiving the final rose. What I don’t know is whether Joan will actually be ready for an engagement; personally, I feel like she’s not. At least, not without spending more time with Chock off-camera before making that kind of commitment.

I say that based on the number of times we’ve heard Joan talk about her fear that she’s not honoring her late husband John’s memory. She’s still very much coming to terms with what it means to move on, and that’s perfectly fine! I’ll be happy for her if she does get engaged, but given that (a) she didn’t want to be physically intimate with any of the men on the overnight dates as a matter principle, (b) she saw what happened with Gerry and Theresa, and (c) both Chock and Guy don’t live within driving distance of her home in Maryland, I feel like she’d be much more comfortable accepting a promise ring of sorts instead of getting engaged.

Either way, we’ll find out on Wednesday night in the 90-minute Golden Bachelorette finale when Joan, her family, and the final two guys join Jesse Palmer in front of a live studio audience to watch her last dates unfold. Check back with Glamour’s Bachelor Nation coverage on Thursday afternoon, because I’ll be sharing my sit down with Joan—and potentially Chock or Guy—as they answer all your burning questions.

Meanwhile, starting tonight through the end of the year, it’s going to be jam-packed with new premieres and returning series. The biggest this week are Yellowstone’s fifth season (well, the back half, at least), season two of Bad Sisters, and the second half of Cobra Kai.

In terms of new series, the workplace-set hospital comedy St. Denis Medical premieres on Tuesday night on NBC/Peacock, joining two other drama premieres: Cross on Prime Video, and Say Nothing on Hulu.

There are new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy, Dr. Odyssey, and more this week, but my pick is Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, which sees the return of Young Sheldon fan favorites Raegan Revord, Annie Potts, Craig T. Nelson, and Zoe Perry. It’s the freshman series’ Thanksgiving episode, and will of course pay tribute to George Sr. I’ve seen an advanced screener, and it’s pretty much a perfect episode.

On that note, I hope you all have a restful Sunday. I will see you next week for the long-awaited back half of Outlander’s seventh season.

Sunday, November 10

Yellowstone (CBS/Paramount Network): The long-awaited remaining episodes in season five are finally here. A special airing of the season premiere will air on CBS at 10 p.m. ET/PT, 9 p.m. CT, the same day the series returns to the Paramount Network at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

The critically acclaimed season features Sharon Horgan as Eva, Anne-Marie Duff as Grace, Eva Birthistle as Ursula, Sarah Greene as Bibi, and Eve Hewson as Becka. In case you’re just starting the show, here’s the synopsis: Two years after the “accidental death” of Grace’s abusive husband, the close-knit Garvey sisters may have moved on. But when past truths resurface, the ladies are thrust back into the spotlight, suspicions are at an all-time high, lies are told, secrets are revealed, and the sisters are forced to work out who they can trust. New cast members this season include Fiona Shaw, Owen McDonnell, Thaddea Graham, Barry Ward, Michael Smiley, Saise Quinn, Daryl McCormack, Yasmine Akram, Jonjo O’Neill, Peter Claffey, Deirdre Mullins, Lorcan Cranitch, Liz Fitzgibbon, and Justine Mitchell. Two episodes streaming at launch, followed by one a week

The Golden Bachelorette (ABC): The finale airs tonight in which Joan leaves Tahiti with Chock, Guy, or no one. We’ll find out soon enough, and then I’ll sit down with Joan—and perhaps her plus-one—the next day. 8 p.m. ET/PT, 7 p.m. CT, and streaming the next day on Hulu

As she approaches puberty seeking attention and adventure, Bailey’s fractured home life is transformed when she encounters Bird (Franz Rogowski), a mysterious stranger on a journey of his own. Directed and written by Andrea Arnold. In theaters

The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland (Prime Video): The film is based on the best-selling book by Carys Bexington, which mashes up two classic tales: Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland and Clement Clarke Moore’s poem “A Visit from Saint Nicholas” (which begins “’Twas the night before Christmas”). Gerard Butler, Emilia Clarke, and Simone Ashley lend their voices to the characters. Streaming
