Tito Jackson’s funeral took place earlier this week following the musician’s September passing.
Tito Jackson has been laid to rest.
According to the Associated Press, the Jackson family held a private ceremony for their loved one on Monday (Nov. 4) at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA. The musician was buried at the same Southern California cemetery as his brother, Michael Jackson, and his father, Joe Jackson.
As reported by USA Today, attendees included Michael Jackson’s children Paris Jackson and Bigi Jackson, and Tito Jackson’s siblings La Toya Jackson and Marlon Jackson. Per Page Six, additional guests included Jaafar Jackson, who is set to star in the King of Pop’s now-delayed biopic, Jermajesty Jackson, and Kimora Lee Simmons.
Tito, born Toriano Adaryll Jackson, passed away on Sept. 15, 2024, at the age of 70. A statement released at the time by his sons Taj, Taryll, and TJ relayed “It will forever be ‘Tito Time’ for us,” adding, “Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is ‘Love One Another.’ We love you Pops.”
After his death, the police department in Gallup, NM issued a statement confirming the singer had experienced a medical emergency near the American Heritage Plaza Mall before being transported by ambulance to a medical facility.
“The individual was subsequently transported to a local hospital in Gallup, NM, where he was pronounced dead,” the statement from law enforcement explained. “Following this, the hospital requested the presence of detectives and the Office of the Medical Investigator.”
At the time of Tito’s death, longtime Jackson family friend and former family manager Steve Manning shared his belief that Tito had suffered a heart attack while driving from New Mexico to Oklahoma. An official cause of death or autopsy results have not been made public.
Along with his children, Tito Jackson is survived by brothers Jermaine, Randy, Marlon, and Jackie; sisters Janet, Rebbie, and La Toya; and mother, Katherine.
