Xbox developer The Coalition has confirmed that Gears of War‘s legendary characters Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago will be voiced by their OG actors in Gears: E-Day.
Yep – John DiMaggio and Carlos Ferro will be reprising their roles as Marcus and Dom, respectively, as the studio goes back to the roots of Gears in its upcoming prequel. Here’s the two of them posing as the news is announced by the Gears team:
We always assumed that this would be the case with how heavily Xbox’s reveal trailer focused on these two characters, but given that neither of them actually talk in the short clip up above, it’s good to get this confirmation from the team nonetheless.
At this point, we simply have to wait for more footage on Gears of War: E-Day to see how John and Carlos will perform – but we have no doubt that they’ll absolutely smash their roles as Marcus and Dom once again. We’re officially on the Cole-train hype-train, baby!
