Jocelyn Wildenstein — known as “Catwoman” for her cat-like appearance — will be cremated following her death on New Year’s Eve.

The late socialite’s fiancé, Lloyd Klein, spoke to TMZ on Monday about the plans for Wildenstein’s remains, revealing her ashes will be transported to her ranch in Kenya.

However, before her ashes are transported overseas, Wildenstein will be remembered at a “small and private” funeral in Paris, Klein told the outlet.

Wildenstein’s final resting place in Kenya will be alongside her family, as both her mother and father’s remains are also located at the same ranch.

Klein — who began dating the late socialite in 2003 — told TMZ he is “still in shock” over her passing, which he called “sudden.” She was 84.

Last week, Klein confirmed Wildenstein’s death in a statement to Agence France-Presse, saying that he was “saddened to announce” the news, per the Daily Mail.

Wildenstein died of a died of a pulmonary embolism. Klein told People that they took a nap ahead of the new year and she did not wake up.

“We were having a nap and when I [woke] up, I said, ‘Jocelyn, we have to wake up, we have to get dressed,’ and she was cold and she was dead,” he recalled.

“It’s very sad. It’s extremely sad. It’s extremely sad to lay down with your other half that I know for 21 years and waiting to celebrate New Year’s Eve and to find her cold.”

He also claimed that her passing was partly due to phlebitis, which is “inflammation of a vein,” per WebMD.

“Because of her phlebitis, the legs were very, very swollen, and the blood was blocked, and there was no oxygen in the brain,” Klein told the outlet.

The longtime couple got engaged in 2017 after Klein popped the question.

Prior to her relationship with the couturier, Jocelyn was famously married to French art dealer Alec N. Wildenstein.

The two were married from 1978 until their messy divorce in 1999. They had two children: daughter Diane and son Alec Jr.

Jocelyn was known for allegedly altering her appearance to resemble a lynx, according to the Sun.

Despite her apparent physical transformation over the years, she denied ever having plastic surgery but admitted to trying Botox during an interview with the outlet in November 2024.
