A continuous lick indeed
- Lickitung’s Continuous Lick move relies entirely on a coin flip
- Streamer @coupleofgaming flips 14 heads in a row
- Fortune favours the bold, it seems
While Pokemon TCG Pocket has done a fantastic job of streamlining the card battler with a more casual feel, there’s still that coin-flipping mechanic that’ll leave your fate to the merciful hands of the RNG gods every now and then. Some Pokemon use that to give you much-needed Energy, while others flip coins to determine just how much damage you can deal to your unwitting opponent.
Enter Lickitung, a particularly long-tongued Pokemon with a penchant for licking. In Pokemon TCG Pocket, this nasty habit can be a good thing when the odds are in your favour, as its Continuous Lick lets you flip a coin until you get tails, with each head dealing 60 damage.
There’s nothing normal about this Normal-type Pokemon’s skill if Lady Luck is on your side, as evidenced by streamer @coupleofgaming when he flipped 14 heads in a row. This dealt a whopping 840 damage against an enemy who only had 70 HP, and it was GG from there.
RIP, brave Fearow.
Now I know where all of my heads have gone – it’s all apparently stuck to OP Lickitung’s sticky tongue, because I can’t even flip one head when desperately trying to survive with my Marowak. The comments section says that the odds of ever catching lightning in a bottle this way are one in 16,384, but still, I would have liked to flip those heads when I needed them most.
