Sister Wives: Christine Brown & Janelle Brown Admit “Most Devastating” Part of Family Rift
Janelle Brown is soaking up special time with her eldest daughter Madison Brush.
The Sister Wives star was a little late in celebrating Maddie’s 29th birthday on social media, but with good reason.
“Happy Birthday @madison_rose11!” she wrote on a Nov. 4 Instagram post. “Yes I’m one day late posting but we were having so much fun yesterday I didn’t want to stop and make a post. It was fun to spend a birthday with you for the first time in years.”
Calling the pregnant mother of three “the best wife, mom, daughter and business partner,” the TLC star also explained that she and Maddie were wearing neon orange safety vests in one pic because they were out on their new property during hunting season.
After relocating part-time to North Carolina following her split from ex Kody Brown, Janelle, Maddie, and Maddie’s husband Caleb Brush recently went into business together, starting their Taeda Farms project, which is set to play out for Sister Wives fans in upcoming episodes.
“My daughter, son-in-law and I have purchased some land in North Carolina, and you’ll see as we start to bring that to fruition,” Janelle told E! News in October. “It’s been a lifelong dream of mine. And I think we’re going to be focused on flowers, because that brings lots of joy.”

In addition to spending part of her time in Flagstaff, Arizona, Janelle also has a residence in North Carolina so that she can be close to Maddie and Caleb and their three children: Axel Brush, 7, and daughters Evie Brush, 5, and Josephine Brush, 19 months.
But her birthday isn’t the only milestone Maddie is celebrating: She recently announced that she is pregnant with her fourth child.
“She’s been really, really such a good mom,” Janelle gushed of Maddie to E! News. “So I’m like, ‘You guys could really have a lot more if you want.’ And she’s like, ‘No, Mom. Four’s good.’ Please I’m here to help! Have as many as you want.”
And while Janelle is involved in Maddie and her grandkids’ lives, her ex Kody is estranged from the Brush family.

“They’re purposefully leaving me out of their lives to punish me for a crime I did not commit,” Kody, who is only in one surviving relationship with his wife Robyn Brown after Christine Brown, Meri Brown, and Janelle left him, said on a recent episode of Sister Wives. “I am only guilty of not falling madly in love with their mothers. Well, Madison actually called Janelle saying, ‘Dad said he didn’t love you.’”
And after Janelle noted that at the time the episode was taped in 2022, Kody hadn’t seen his grandkids in three years, he replied in his own confessional, saying, “It’s unrealistic expectation for grandparents to be in their grandchildren’s lives all the time, especially if you move your children to an entirely different coast.”
